3/28/11 - Beaver Creek Reserve is making extensive renovations to the camp facility! We are excited to see the results in person, but here is a quick sneak peek at what they've been up to! Many thanks to Beaver Creek Reserve for their efforts at preserving the site we all love so much! Click here to view the photos!
3/28/11 - Sarah Listug, Associate Administrator, visited with Fosselyngen 5-82 in Milwaukee over the weekend and had the pleasure of catching up with Jayne Murnane and her daughter Amelia (who has attended Masse Moro the last couple years). She also met Gretchen Bjork who attended camp in 1980 with former Camp Director Inger Lise Rasmussen! Both Amelia and Gretchen spoke about their experiences at camp, and it was really interesting to see how their experiences were similar (even though they were about 30 years apart). Gretchen also had her daughter with her, who will be attending Masse Moro for the first time this year! Thank you Fosselyngen for hosting Sarah!
2/16/11 - Sarah L. Paulsen memorial scholarships announced to District V Campers. There will be four scholarships available for 2011 in the amount of $150.00 - which covers 25% of the camp tuition cost! Please follow this link for more information and to apply!
2/15/11 - We visited Vestland Lodge in Minnetonka, MN, tonight to share information and treats from Masse Moro! Thank you Vestland Lodge for hosting Kaia again and for your interesting meeting! Their speaker gave a talk on Genealogy and how to earn cultural skills credit for your hard work! I would encourage everybody to take a look at the cultural skills packet for genealogy as it all sounded very interesting! If we don't take the time to write down our own history, it will be lost forever. . . Click here to read about the Sons of Norway cultural skills in genealogy!
