Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When are the medical forms due?

A: All health documentation must be mailed (together) to the Camp Administrator on or before July 1 of the camp year.  The Administrator will mail these forms to you as part of the "Welcome Packet" which will be sent out as soon as your camper's application has been recorded.  Campers and Staff will not be allowed to stay at camp without health forms on file.  No exceptions will be made.

Q:  Why didn't I receive a mailing?

A:  If you have not submitted your application as a camper or a staff member, you will not receive a mailing.  Please be sure to submit your application materials to the Youth Director to ensure your name is added to the mailing list.

Camper Applications do not go to the Camp Administrator.  If you are certain that you have submitted your materials, please e-mail us by clicking on the "Contact Us" tab and explain the situation and share your mailing address.

Q:  How do we arrange for a scholarship?

A:  Scholarships from local lodges must be arranged between the camper, the camper's family, and the board members of your local lodge.  The Camp Administrator is unable to arrange camper scholarships.  If you are unsure which lodge is your local lodge, go to the Sons of Norway homepage and search for the lodge nearest you.  Contact one of their board members in a timely manner (preferably before the end of May) and ask if they would be willing to support your child's tuition for camp.  If you live in District 5, there is a Matching Funds form that you can fill out for additional tuition support.  Click here to be directed to the form.  Click here if you would like to find out what district you live in.

Q:  Do you have to be a Sons of Norway member to attend this camp?

A:  Although membership is strongly encouraged, it is not required.  All campers between the ages of 9 and 15 will be considered regardless of their family's Sons of Norway affiliation.  Learn about the perks of being a Sons of Norway member by visiting their website at www.sofn.com.
